The past six weeks have gone by so much faster than I would have expected. In just two days people will be leaving for their home countries, with no plan of coming all together again in the future. We brought together individuals from seven different countries to share in a cultural experience. Some days it was hard at work with smooth sailing, and other days we came to disagreements. But no matter the challenge to jump over, we were able to push forward to the end.
I will always remember Tainan as the special place it is. I will remember the delicious pork and rice I ate every day. I will remember the copious amount of bubble tea I drank. Most importantly, I will remember the people I experienced this time with. Jia Jia has shown me that no matter where you come from, and what your skills are, you can always tackle a new situation with requirements you might not have ever faced before. At the beginning of the internship I thought I would be focusing on business and management, but in reality it was all around music. At the beginning this was a challenge because I was never used in this capacity before, but over time I was able to learn how to adapt my current skills for the new situations I was put in.
Over my time here I helped create an international music program, theme song and lobby music, a new product line for the company, all while making more friends from all over the world. Yes there were ups and downs. But at the end of the day we were able to unite and see the main goal of helping expand Jia JIa’s presence. In addition, we learned so much about the culture we can bring back and share with our home countries.
To be honest I don’t know if I will ever see Tainan again, but I am grateful for the chance to experience the city in all it’s glory and traditions. Until next time Tainan….
